Discipleship Training School

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a time set apart where you grow inhelps you know God more deeply, follow Jesus more closely, and discover your spiritual gifts and life purpose for missions. It’s a residential course that includes a 12-week classroom phase followed by an 8–12 week outreach experience.

What to Expect On Outreach?

    Going for it!

    Opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, trust God, speak about their faith, pray for people, and take action even when they feel nervous or unsure.

  • Loving People

    Loving the one

    Ministry isn't only about reaching crowds or accomplishing big things—it is about seeing the person God has placed directly in front of you and loving them well.

  • Praying

    Serving Others

    You may serve through children's ministry, evangelism, practical work, community projects, prayer, churches, schools, mercy ministry, or other opportunities.

  • Kids Ministry

    We get the pleasure to meet and share songs and dances with kids from all walks of life and just seeing the Joy and sharing the fathers love for them.

  • Teaching English

    Serving through learning and games then to have such great connections with people you meet with.

Questions About DTS?

  • Lecture phase is the first 3 months of a DTS training school that involves class room lectures on campus/base. Where we will have speakers the will teach new topics each week.

    Outreach Phase is the last 2 months of the DTS training school, that involves putting to practice all that you have learned lecture phase and where you will be serving in the nations.

  • Your DTS leadership should provide a specific packing list. Generally, you may need:

    • Appropriate clothing

    • Bible

    • Journal

    • Toiletries

    • Medication/personal essentials

    • Passport and travel documents

    • Comfortable shoes

    • Appropriate ministry clothing

    • Sleeping/travel equipment if required

    Tip: Don't overpack. Find out what the outreach location actually requires.

  • A Discipleship Training School has two main fees that are paid through and they are;

    LECTURE FEES range around $3500 to $4000 NZD

    OUTREACH FEES range around $4500 to $5000

  • The outreach location depends on the DTS and the ministry focus of the school. It may be within the student's own country or internationally. Students should be prepared for a different culture, environment, language, food, and way of life.

    • Visiting families

    • Serving local communities

    • Practical projects

    • Discipleship

    • Sharing testimonies

    • Worship

    • Helping missionaries and local ministries

    The activities depend on the needs of the people and the ministry partners.

  • You may experience:

    • Culture shock

    • Homesickness

    • Different food

    • Language barriers

    • Different living conditions

    • Physical tiredness

    • Team challenges

    • Unexpected changes

    • Spiritual challenges

    These experiences can also become opportunities for personal growth and deeper dependence on God.

  • Before outreach, spend time:

    • Reading Scripture

    • Praying

    • Worshiping

    • Asking God to prepare your heart

    • Praying for the people you will meet

    • Learning about the culture

    • Dealing with unresolved relationships

    • Practicing sharing your testimony

    Psalm 139:23–24 is a great prayer for preparation.
